New Connection Procedure
Here are some steps to appky for new mepco meter connection.
1 Fill the online application form ENC.
2 Upload scanned copies of the following document.
1 Proof of ownership
2 Undertaking by the applicant.
3 Power of attorney in case of more than one owner
4 No objection certificate (NOC) in case the applicant is tanant.
5 Attested copy of applicant CNIC
6 Attested copy of CNIC of two witness (not require in case of single phase connection)
7 A copy of concerned tariff duly signed by consumer
3 Submit the application form.
4 Get printed copy of the application form
5 Attach copy of all required document with the application form.
6 Send the application along with all attachment to the concerned office
7 You will receive demand notice after verification of document.
8 Now you have to pay the demand notice to the designated bank.
9 Submit copy of the paid demand notice to the concerned office
10 The meter connection will be installed after payment verification of demand notice.
Estimated Time For New Connection
How long it may take to get new Mepco meter connection?It depends on connection category. Basically there are 3 main categories of Mepco electricity supply connection according to load
Category-1 (up to 15 kw)
Here are some steps with estimated number of days to get category -1 connection
1 Applicant will fill the application form with related papers and submit to the nearest office who will issue the receipt and seniority number to the applicant.For this purpose,the office will setup seniority register as per application submission date and applicant will get access to it
2 Related office will visit the place where new connection is required to make sure either it is possible to setup this new connection or not.If not possible then applicant will get access to it
3 If it is possible to setup new connection on applicant location then office will generate estimated cost of connection.
4 After cost estimation, office will issue demand notice which can be picked by hand or sent to applicant by post.
5 Applicant will deposit the demand notice fee to the bank and submit a copy to related Mepco office
6 Applicant will submit wiring test report and related office will verify it.
7 The office will prepare the priority list of applicant as per their dues submission date.
8 The office will issue service connection order.
9 The related office will then contact store to get connection items,e.g meter,wire,installation kit etc.
10 The store will provide required items to related office.
11 After receiving items,the office of the SDO or Assist.Manger Operation will install new meter connection.
Total Expected Days
Category-2 (16 to 70 kw/400 volts)
The process to get new category -2 Mepco connection is almost same as category one,but it can take up to 44 days to complete category 2 connection
Category-3 (71 to 500 kw/400 volts)
Just like category one and two,there are same steps for category-3 however in this category it may take up to 73 days from application submission date to meter installation.
